    Hello, I got a quick question, when a user pays a subscription and the payment is a success, on paypal there is a "return to merchant" button and once you are back from Paypal, the portal does not recognize you, (you go to the redirection page, but you are not logged in). The user then needs to log in to access the portal.

    Question is, is it possible that once the user returns the portal automatically logs him in?

    Hi Ricardo,

    The process is designed to just return the user to the site without logging him in. This is because we have no control over when PayPal sends the completed IPN. It typically occurs within seconds when all goes well. However, we have to account for instances when the the transaction appears successful but may still be pending due to lack of funds in the buyer's account or if the buyer just started a PayPal account, the account may still need to be verified and this can take a few days. There may also be other transmission delays that can occur. Thanks for your question!
