I have four newsletters that subscribers can opt-in on my website.  If a subscriber checks all four, he only gets signed up for the one default newsletter -- not the other three.  Once singed up, he can manage his subscription and add the other three newsletters.  Can anyone shed some light on what may be causing the problem?

Below is the DNN exception report I'm receiving.  Does anyone know a fix for this problem?

    Hi Tom,

Please download Opt In Email 4.2.30 from your Snowcovered account under Patches and Hotfixes (or in MyDownloads if you're a Collection 3.0 owner).  Let us know if this fixes you up.  Thanks!

    Candace

    Hi Candace,

I installed 4.2.30 and it appears to have fixed the problem.

I am still getting an exception when I manually update a user's subscription.  When I check/uncheck a user's subscription and click save, it appears to accept the change, but generates an exception.  See below:

    Thanks,
    Tom

    Hi Tom,

Glad the patch was able to fix the immediate problem. As far as the other issue can you confirm a few things for me so I can try and duplicate this locally?

    1. Do you have extended fields setup for this subscriber? If so what are the field types defined for these extended fields?

    2. Does the information actually get saved properly? If you go back into the interface and edit the subscribers details did the information save properly or is it lost?

This will greatly help us in identifying what is causing this.

    Chad,

    1. I did set up one extended field: "How did you find out about us?" The reply options are in a combo box drop down list: Google, DC Dance Net, Capital Tangueros, Newspaper, Friend, etc. I currently have it disabled.
    2. The updated information does save properly, but the event log registers an exception.

Thanks for your help with this.

    Tom

    Tom,

Thanks for your information. We will work on setting this up for a patch or hot fix for future releases assuming we can easily duplicate it. Assuming you have that field/property disabled you might remove it as I know when clients were having this issue it was only with extended fields. I have this on our list though as a minor issue (because it is at least saving). My guess is that its trying to save a disabled extended field and it can't because the field is disabled/not present.
