Hi everyone,

I have an issue when I add the new 1.5 News ticker module anywhere on my page the content always ends up in the left hand corner of the screen. This is only seen in firefox and works fine in IE. WHat can I do to fix this? There is nothing else on the page except for this module. Thanks again

Forgot to mention that this uses a Year 1999 dhtml.js file that does not include firefox. I searched Dynamic Drive and can not get an updated version. If somebody has one please let me know. I am just trying to keep my content in the container that the module is in. My content keeps leaving the Container in firefox and going to the upper left hand corner. Is there a way to put in a support ticket without paying for the support as this I would hope would work out of the box but does not for me?

Thanks

Jack

Jack,

Hi. If you change this to use the default skin and/or default container does it work properly then? Just trying to determine if its a combination of skin/containers/module or what would cause it to work differently.

Ummm... Well did you change the skin or the container? I would try and narrow it down as much as possible and also bring this up to the skin company. You might even have them contact us directly and ask them if they insert into custom javascript into their skin that might interfere with other modules? Our module follows the standards (as far as I know) for inserting body onload events within DNN (which is DotNetNuke.UI.Utilities.DNNClientAPI.AddBodyOnloadEventHandler ) and at least for the large majority of skins this has never been an issue (we have one other user who ran into this problem but it was with a custom skin and he found the issue and fixed it I believe)

I changed the skin not the container. Our containers are not the default ones either. We are using the skin pack here. I hope links are allowed if not sorry.

So does it work with a non default container but a default skin? Just trying to narrow it down.

Yes. The container makes no difference as long as I use the default skin. Default skin with purchased container still works fine but Non- default skin with default container still has the problem. Sorry hope this helps.
