Is there any way to make a question span the columns?

Meaning, I have the regular user questions (first name, last name, email...etc) in which the label is in the left cell and the field is in the right cell.

I want to add some "demographic" questions like:
"Which of the following best describes your industry?"

I would like the Question Label on one line spanning the 2 columns of the user information questions and then the input field to be on the second line spanning 2 columns.

Is there an option that I am missing in order to do this?

Thanks very much in advance!

Gary,

We recently added a setting in our Dynamic Forms module to set the cell width but have not had enough requests to have it set in Dynamic Registration yet to implement it. If we do implement it, it would probably be a 'global' enhancement that would apply to all questions.

In your case though I don't believe its needed. You could create a question of type 'HTML' and insert something like: "Which of the following best describes your industry?" and then the next question would actually be "Industry".

ok, I understand what you said about the HTML box, but how do I make the input (Industry DropDownList) span 2 columns.

So get a picture of what I am talking about, take a look at this form, this is what I am trying to recreate with Dynamic registrations. Notice the demographic fields are spaning 2 columns:

Is this possible?
Thanks!

Hi. I see what you are trying to do now, basically put the field label for each question at the top and no label. Ill look into what it would take to either add the span or ability to have the label at the top but to be honest we have not had that many users request this and the form field example you said looks a little out of place if you ask me (just my two cents though ;)).

Also, if you purchased the source code version you could also modify it there and have more control over the form, although because its so dynamic the code is very nested within that area.

Yes, I did buy the version that included the source code, so I guess I can take a look at it.
I am really surprised that other users have not requested this. What happens if you have a long question? The "Opt In" questions when registering for this site look very "squished", so I would figure that you might wanna use it for that...as another example.

I will take a look at the source code.

Well as you can see when you Register at our site, we have the feature "Word wrap" on under general settings. Either way though, even with this feature I can see that it would be a valuable option to set the column span as was recently done with Dynamic Forms.

We are establishing the enhancements for 2.3 (recently posted) and will have the full list of enhancements listed by the 30th, and hopefully the release by the end of next month. I don't think it will be a problem to get this setting added to the list.
