A few questions.

1. How can I get a list of all SQL variables in the system to use in SQL driven fields/option

2. In Dynamic Forms, I can prefill fields from the DNN core variables. But, if changed in a form, how can I save these back to the DNN core? E.g., if have a user profile form with more detailed questions than on initial registration form.

3. On updating a registration in Dynamic Registration, the password must be entered again. Is it possible to not require a password for someone already registered and simply update the registration information?

Thanks.

Chad

David,

Sorry for such a late response on this.

1. They should be listed in documentation but at first glance I didn't see them, ill make sure the full list is in there for the next release which we hope is now the end of September (already about 50% finished on development). The most common ones are $(PortalID), $(ModuleID), $(UserID), $(DateTime), and $(CurrentLanguage)

2. You need Dynamic Registration in order to post to the registration and treat it as a registration form to update/insert. You could also use SQL Events but it really wouldn't work as well since Dynamic Registration has many features specific for this purpose. If you just need to do it though give me some more of the specs and ill try and assit with the SQL for the SQL Completion Event.

3. Actually the password doesn't have to be entered again, you can leave it blank. You can also hide the password fields completely and maybe put the password updating on a seperate page if you wanted to. Just make sure you don't set the password fields as required. Dynamic Registration has some built in functionality for password fields that automatically adds a compare validator and a required field validator initially for registration, but after registration if the fields are blank the use can update their information and if they are not blank it does not update their information. We are working in the future to shoe these fields as ******* so that its more descriptive.

Thanks,

Chad
