An offsite link links to an internal tab.  Before adding Dynamic Login, DNN would send one to the login first, and then back to the internal tab.  Now with using Dynamic Login, the page shows correctly, but instead of redirecting to the previous URL, it's sending you to the home page.  I've tried both checking and unchecking the setting for:

(  ) Override user and role redirection rules and always redirect to previous URL:

What am I missing?

Hi,

Yes as long as you have that setting checked and are using Dynamic Login it should work. What version of DNN are you running on, and when you go to Host, Module Definition, what specific version does it show you are running on?

Hi,

My issue is also with redirection, I have setup the redirect page and added a role redirect for registered users so that they are redirected to their Dashboard after login (in theory I shouldn't need both).

Next i have checked the "Override user and role redirection rules and always redirect to previous URL" with the understanding that if there is a redirect url in the querystring it will ignore the default page/role redirection and redirect to the previous page.

However if i login from the home page i'm being returned to the homepage as opposed to landing the the "Dashboard" page even though there is no redirect in the URL.

If i uncheck "Override user and role redirection rules and always redirect to previous URL" it works but then users lose the ability to be redirected to previous pages if they had come from one.

I'm using version 02.20.10. Have i set this up incorrectly?

Regards
Adam

Adam,

Hi. So...

1. You have the feature turned on to redirec to Previous URL right?

2. You are passing the module then returnurl parameter?

Or am I misunderstanding what you are needing? Are you needing the module to redirect to previous URL only if the querystring parameter is passed (and if its not rely on role redirect rules?)
