Having problems with "test mode" in the opt-in emai module, I decided to test the "test mode" in the forms I created.

Could you tell me the purpose or a few uses of "test mode?"

I can't "test" required fields; I can't "test" regular expressions; in fact, the only thing it seems to test is the message displaying test mode and that the submit button actual submits.

Do I have some other settings wrong, or is test mode in either module not really  functional "test mode?"

John,

The main purpose for test mode is to simply allow the form not to actually process events and form completion steps etc... We will probably add additional functionality to this (i.e. If this had processed the following events woudl fire... etc...)

In test mode the form should generate just as it shoudl without test mode, additionally validation (at least client side validation) should fire while in test mode as well. Only completion events and so forth should not.

Required testboxes are the only ones that trigger in test mode; none of my other fields, be it date fields, dropdowns, et al, will trigger the validation error in test mode. If I remove use test mode in a series of forms with no textboxes (i.e., checkboxes, radios, date, etc), when I hit submit to save the data, I just get the test mode warning...no dynamic events, no system messages, no validation triggers or errors, nothing...
