I have tested dynamic registration on a dnn 4.5.3 and 4.6.2 install and the password is always blank in confirmation emails sent to  newly registered users.  Is this a bug in DNN or dynamic registration?

Hi. Actually this is by design (at least in the current release). Dynamic Registration does not physically store or pass passwords directly to completion event emails. We might review later not storing the password but still making them available within completion events, right now completion event values come from what is stored in the database though and for security purposes we do not store them there (bypass's DNN encryption method if we did).

Oh... This is true unless you enable the 'Auto Create UserID' and at that point there is a parameter you can use to send the users password that is auto generated based on the auto create user settings.

Ok...fair enough but with my registration goals this is a much needed feature.  I have  set my registration setting to none so as to remove the registration link from the login module.  I then created a hidden registration page and that url gets mailed out to my potential registrants.  Once they access this url and registar, it may take anywhere from 24-48 hours before their authorized and receive the completion event email.  I'm afraid with this strategy and the time delay for authorization that many will forget what the set as their password.  I have over a 1000 users who will register and I want it to go as smooth as possible.  Any suggestions or recommendations as to a new strategy?

Thanks,

Paul
