We love the concept of Dynamic Forms but continue to have a heck of of time figuring out how to do simple layout of our forms.

For example, I can't seem to figure out how to have the form questions align right and the field answers align left so that they meet each other in the "middle" of the form, no matter what size the module.

See this page here:  http://portal.westernroundtable.com/PowerTools/StayintheLoop/tabid/1047/Default.aspx

Why is this simple form design convention so difficult to accomplish in Dynamic Forms?

How do I do this??

Jim,

Hi. We continue to add more and more ways of formatting fields and so forth, unfortunatly with the feature and way Dynamic Forms works we can't really offer a 'Free-Form' layout to build the form, we continue to add enhancements with each release though.

Keep in mind that the forms are added to their own table, you could modify the source to make this table align in the center but basically there is always going to be limitations if you are wanting the top half of the form to be aligned in the middle but than the bottom have in its own table (such as where you are asking for first, last name etc...).

If its all fields you can modify the dynamicforms.ascx file and within that file there is a table you can modify that you could have align to the center, you will still have table rows/columns as its setup now but that should help. We are also allowing the ability in the next release to be able to specify certain stylesheet properties for this table as well.

Additionally, the features you can take advantage of now are:
* Field width
* Optionally hide field labels per question
* Optionally show the field label on the checkbox field itself and align that left or right
* Optionally show field labels and questions in the same column
* Align field labels to left or right

In future enhancements you will also be able to....
* Set the column span (colspan) for fields to allow for more flexible formatting
* Speify stylesheet properties for the main forms table

In the long term we are still researching the best methods to possibly allow for 'Free Form' tokens to build forms, this creates conflicts with many areas and features of the module though so it cannot be done at this time.
