As part of a project to rebuild a DNN installation, I need to import some Dynamic Form content.  I designed a couple of forms using the Dynamic Forms 2.3 beta.  I now understand that in addition to the 'export content' tool, in order to move data to a new DNN, I will need to copy some data from the database.  Has anyone done this before, and do you have any advice on which tables to work with?

Thanks

Chad

Paul,

Hi. Actually I wouldn't copy the database tables directly, if you do you will more than likely have to update the ModuleID column because the forms questions won't match with the new sites moduleID. In your case all you need to do is click the 'Export Content' and copy the .XML file that is generated in your portals home directory (usually /portals/0/yourformsdatafile.xml) into your new sites portals home directory and then use the 'Import Content'. There should be no database updates but you will of course need to install the module on the new site. Also, 2.3 standard or 2.3 beta shouldn't matter as long as you make sure you execute the export and the import on the same installation.
