Hi,

I seem to be having some trouble with this module. The installation has worked fine, and I've been able to add property types, and create a listing as a test user. However when I logout, search for a property I receive the following error:

A critical error has occurred.
Could not find file 'C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\Sites\realestate\Listing_Images\688.htm'.

Now, if I login as an admin and view the listing detail it works. The link I see this time is:

 http://realestate/RealEstateModuleTest/tabid/211/ctl/AdminSettings/mid/688/Default.aspx

From my observation there is a disconnection in the way that the functionality works for an administrator and that of an end user. Where the error is occurring it looks at though a .htm file should have been generated, and it hasn't whereas for the admin it follows the regular DNN syntax in that it presents /688/default.aspx.

I've added "Everyone" as Full Control to the Listing_Images directory just incase there was insufficient permissions to add the file however it doesn't make any difference. All of the images for this listing have all been created in this directory but the .htm file it's looking for has not.

I am using DNN 4.4.1 along with the latest Real Estate module (PA Edition) downloaded from snowcovered 2 days ago.

Look forward to your earliest response.

Thanks,

Ross

Ross,

Hi. This is something that needs to be corrected in the documentation. Basically you just need to make sure you go into 'edit template' and save the template at least one time.

Hi Chad,

So does this mean that you have to create and save each new entry, and then go back a second time to edit and save it before its viewable?  Sounds confusing.

How do I get to "edit template"? I do not see any buttons or menu items with this text. Thanks,

Hi, I am having a similar problem with 2.2 but I cant save the property template without the following error :

A critical error has occurred.
Could not find a part of the path 'E:\WebSites\NerthusGroup\Listing_Images\1_627.htm'.

I have this in a child protal but I have tried in the main and same error. Thanks in advance. Jon

Hi. Go into your Property Template and save the template at least one time.

We are researching a permissions issue however, if you cannot save the template you can fix this (one time issue) by going into your DotNetNuke root directory and creating a directory called 'Listing_Images'. The module needs to create this directory but I think permissions on the server/site are not allowing this.
