I am trying to use the image field in Dynamic Registation form to show an image in the detail section of the User Directory module. So far I havent been able to do this because I cant figure out how to create an image field in the DNN profile section. Is there a way to make this work? Thanks

Hi. Yes there is a way to make this work. Below are the basics.

1. Setup a text only field in the DNN Core area under Admin, User Accounts, Manage Profile Properties. Just make this a text column with a max length of about 200 characters. For our example lets say you name this field MyUserImage.

2. Setup a Dynamic Field (an image field type) within Dynamic Registration. This dynamic field should 'link' to the core field under the advanced field settings on the property 'DNN Core Field'

So far you created a core extended field and an image dynamic field that updtes the core property.

3. Add the Dynamic User Directory module to a page, make sure you setup the settings and then when you are ready setup the user directory template. Now, here comes the key. Either in the item or detail template include the token [MyUserImage] (or whatever you named your field in step 1). Finally, you will need to actually setup the image to include the full patch and so forth. So, for example the HTML would look like this:

This example assumes the portal ID is 0 and you need to switch out www.yoursite.com with your actual domain. Also, the < img tag needs to have the < next to img (I just can't do this because it will render an actual image in this forum thread).

< img src="http://www.yoursite.com/portals/0/DynamicRegistration_Images/[MyUserImage]" >

That should do it... Let me know if you run into any problems.
