I have a DR module that I am using to collect Alternate address information. I do not want to show the user's firstname, lastname, or email address on the form (i have a separate DR module that I am using for their profile information), but I do want to include the user's firstname, lastname, and email address in the email in which the alternate address data is included. I thought I could add these 3 fields to my Alternate address DR module, map them to the corresponding dnn core membership field, and then hide the fields from registered users (since that is the only role that can access the alternate address form).
The problem that I am encountering, when I do what I explain above is ... I go to my alternate address form, and when I click submit, it is saving blank values for the first name, last name, and email field, even though I know there is membership data in these three fields. I would expect that because the fields are mapped to the dnn core that the values that are saved in the db would populate the hidden fields and then be saved when the form is submitted. Am I doing something wrong? Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
