I had Dynamic registration up and running for a couple of days. It worked fine. Then I installed dynamic login. Now the "Update Settings" link button is gone for both "DNN Core Integration"  and  "Module Configuration". Now there is no way for me to make any changes on those two.

I've tried uninstall dynamic login, reinstall dynamic registration, change skin, the problem stays the same. Very frustrating.

Please help!

Can the support team please help me? I've also sent a message through your contact form. But I have not received any response.

Is this the right place to get support? I have changed more skins and reinstalled the module again but I still can not get the "Update Settings" link back!

Help...

Hi,

We recently discovered a javascript issue that would throw some iissues with some skins and added a Patch to Snowcovered under Patches and Hot Fixes for Dynamic Registration 3.1. In your case though, as a work around you could always switch between Module Configuration and Manage Question/Settings (if the Update Setting link is there).

Check the patches and hot fixes area first though as the update should correct this.

Hi Chad,

Thank you for the response.

1. I don't see the patches from my snowcovered account. I purchased the collection package on 11/28/2007. Is there anything wrong? I can give you more order information through email if you need it. I really need to fix this.

2. As to the workaround, I don't quite understand: how to switch between Module Configuration and Manage Question/Settings? (plus the DNN Core Integration does not work either).

Thank you.

Now it looks like I can get most of them(not all, some don't have the graphic displayed) changed by clicking the upper side graphics. But the bottom "Update Settings" link is still missing.

I am still waiting for the snowcovered response for my patches (if I should have any since I bought it a few days ago). And I still have some of the graphics not showing so for example, I can not change module's "Validation Configuration".

With the help of Chad, I've found that the problem was caused by the html tag within the question field. I had something like this:

I agree to the terms of use & privacy policy.

Once I removed the html tags the "Update Settings" link comes back.

So if you have experienced the similar issue you might want to check this type of thing out.

I had the same problem and lost a lot of time ...

The fact of not being able to add HTML tag in the labels of fields without generating problems in the configuration of the module is really disappointing ...

DevPCI Team.

PS : Thx a lot for posting this info Odove.

PPS : I've notice others problemsn due to the same problem :
- Cause troubles with the CSS Class of Fields errors,
- Allow in FireFox to validate register without check the requiered field about "Terms of use"
- Cause a lot of troubles in the general settings (don't save config, apply "random" settings in the  Questions events...

So if you need to do this kind of fields, forgot it until it is allowed in a futur patch.

Hi. Well actually you can use HTML within labels but if you don't close a tag properly or anything the module is liekly to mess up. For example if I started making a field bold and I forgot to close out the bold tag within the HTML it will render like such within the form and probably make everything both (because there was no end bold tag).

What we might want to do though is strip out any HTML within the 'dropdownlist' that the manage questions appear in. This way the field label would appear correctly on the user-facing page but wouldn't cause any problems on the back end administration. This is something we are researching... Another option might be to enable a 'HTML label' and display HTML label instead of standard label. This would be more features added to the look and feel area where you can override the standard field label.
