Chad,

I upgraded to version 3.1 that has the cancel membership SQL event in it.  And per your suggestion, I am trying to delete a record in another table once a user cancels.  Your suggestion was:

There is one 'gotcha' though I just thought about. Since the user is deleted BEFORE the events you the $(UserID) parameter. If you are using a SQL event this is probably something you would want. You can still use the username though and we might maybe create one called $(PrevUserID) or something you can use. For now though you could create a hidden field called 'HiddenUserID' with a default value of $(UserID) and then you could reference that later within the SQL event etc...

I can't seem to get the default value of the hidden field filled in with the $(UserID).  Do I need to run a SQL statement to get it to populate?  And if so, how do I determine what the current userid is.

Thanks,
Kyle

Kyle,

I was just reviewing the code for this and I actually believe you should be able to still use the $(UserID) token. I was thinking initially it wouldn't be available since the user was deleted but that parameter is still kept in tact so you should be able to to use it. Can you confirm this?

If you add $(UserID) to an email completion event or use it in a SQL completion event does it still render the users previous userID?
