I just purchased and installed Opt-In Email 3.0 Enterprise and I am trying to adjust it. I have localized the various subscriber messages in the text editor using Verdana as the font type (to fit other content). However, label fonts like in "Categories", "Email Adress", "Subscribe Me", "Go" and more appear to be fixed as TimesNewRoman. How can I change these to Verdana (as I use in the header and subscriber messages)?

Thanks,
Olafur

Olafur,

Hi. Just looked at the main _OptIn.ascx file and I didn't see any hard coded fonts or anything. I also just checked the code and don't see that we are hard coding fonts so it should be using the standard DNN style classes. I believe field labels are NormalBold within DNN. That being said the ability to modify the stylesheet directly within Opt In Email settings is new to v3.0 and we probably need to add other stylesheet class's custom to Opt In Email to this feature. Right now I think it just covers areas such as the datagrid within the manage list area and the category/opt in list on the main opt in page but I don't think it covers the links or labels. Ill look into this for the future, otherwise you should be able to rely on the main DNN style class's. Also, do they change if you click on the 'Hide field label'?

Yes, I think another stylesheet class needs to be added for Opt-in Email (and Opt-In simple?) for this purpose. Until then the following code can be added to skin.css (and adjusted at will) - the following ids were found using the "developers toolbar" for Firefox;

#dnn_ctr713__OptInSimple_lblFirstName_label, #dnn_ctr713__OptInSimple_lblLastName_label, #dnn_ctr713__OptInSimple_lblEmail_lblLabel, #dnn_ctr713__OptInSimple_lnkSubscribe
{
font-family: Verdana, Geneva, Arial, helvetica, sans-serif, Tahoma;
font-size:0.75em;
}

Obviously it would be easiest to adjust these in the Opt-In Stylesheet itself - if possible.

Same problems here, simple Optin has no style sheet associated with it.

I agree, all of the modules with the opt-in pack should be able to be styled better.

Ok, ok , ok... we got the message

We will have a 3.1 release with updated stylesheets for both Opt In and Simple Opt In (probably will pull from the same stylesheet for easier management).

Besides that we will be adding a few small features for 1. email validation option on simple opt in and main opt in, 2. stylesheet for simple opt in, 3. new stylesheet classes for both the main opt in and simple opt in modules.

If there is anything else that needs to be added let me know, we should have 3.1 out by the end of July.

Hi Chad,

I have just purchased Enterprise 3.1 and the field tags and links on the OptIn and OptIn Simple modules are different sizes on different skins. Is there some way I can control these sizes using the module style settings window.

If there is, can you explain how to?

The user manual doesn't have any info on this.

Cheers
