I have created datatype: truefalse profile property in the core profile and then in DR (radio button) which is integrated with the core truefalse datatype profile property. This should work right? I don't see any truefalse category in DR. Well, right now it's not working so which property type should I select in DR? (radiobutton,combo...)

Thanks.

Hi. Dynamic Registration works best with the main text profile property type. I think for the true/false I would have to check but the value might have to be something like a 0 or 1 and not actually the text of true or false. Fields such as a 'Checkbox' represent true or false or you could have a radio button/combo box for true/false but again, sometimes in the database when it saves it the value might not be the actual text but an integer etc...

Yes, I meant 0/1 integer and not the text. I want to give an option to the user to set his/her profile private. For that I have to create a new core profile property with the data type set to truefalse. So, if I want to connect DR to this datatype, which is the best way to do it? What should I use? Checkbox or radiobutton?

Also, why can't I have user account module and the DR module on the same page? Or on diff pages on the same website?

Hi Well a Checkbox I believe ends up saving the results as Yes/No text so I would suggest using a radio button or combo box/dropdownlist and set the value itself to be 0 or 1 etc...

Do you receive errors when adding the user account module to the same page? I don't know that this has ever been tested but I don't know why you couldn't? What issues do you run into when you have them both on a page?

How can I change the values of the combo button to 0/1? I am using Smart-thinker modules, and as per the instructions we have to use the datatype truefalse, which is actually resembles to a checkbox. By default it is unchecked (profile is public) if the user checks it then the profile is set to private. I have used radiobutton and checkbox to integrate with the core profile property (data type true/false) but it did not work. Can you please explain how can I manage to achive this with DR?

Also, when I put User Account and DR on the same page, all the info from the User Account vanishes. When I try to put them on separate pages and try to go to the page, which has User Account module, that page redirects me to the page where DR is.

Hi, Well for dropdownlist / radio button fields and so forth you should be able set the question option and questionoption value, so you would set the question option to 'Yes' and the question option value to '1' etc... If you still have a problem with this please setup a test page on Beta Springs and we will see if we can duplicate any issues and if its working as it should.

I am not sure about the user account on the same page as this has not really come up before... We have had situations where users wanted one registration page, and then they woudl setup security for each registration module so that only certain users would see the 'User Account' module and other users would see 'Dynamic Registration Form 1' while others from another security role see 'Dynamic Registration Form 2' etc...

I don't think I can test DR on BetaSprings as I want. I tried (http://www.betasprings.com/DynRegistration/TestRegistration/FrozenDNNTest/tabid/454/language/en-US/Default.aspx). I cannot the core profile field with datatype set to true/false and then connect DR property to it.

I love DR but I need this intergation so I can allow my users to set their profile to pvt. If I cannot do it, then unfortunately, I will have to start using the core user account module, which I really want it to be my last option.

If you are willing, I can give you my website/host id/Password so you can check what I am trying to do. Please let me know.

Thanks
