Hi!

I´m setting up the Dynamic User Registration for a site. I think the module in many ways are very dynamic and powerful,  but the Manage Users part is very static. Then I found your module Dynamic User Directory, and I thought it would help me to make my users management more dynamic. But even here I got stopped by the field names in the search area is not localizing to the values I have in my language pack for the DNN Core fields.

Are you planning any enhancements in these parts?

Petri,

HI. Dynamic User Directory did not support field name localization until version 2.4 (which was released today). I believe we sent you over a beta of this. The way that Dynamic User Directory works for search field localization is a little different than the core localization (at least for now). For now you need to manually edit the DynamicUserDirectory.ascx.resx file that is located in the:

\DesktopModules\Dynamic User Directory\App_LocalResources

directory. This is also covered in the user guide that was published today on Page 35 of the user guide.

If you still have problems please open up a support ticket and provide us with FTP access to your site and we should be able to handle it from there. We will review in the future allowing the same scenerio that the Core is using to display localized values however I don't believe its easy for us to access that information directly from within the module which is why we have not defined it yet.

Thanks, yes I got the 2.4 version from you. And yes, I finally find out how to localize it. Just had to find the right name of the entries for the core fields, then I got it working.

Many thanks!

Best regards

Petri
