Hi,
I'm using the image field where there are three option for the image:
Full, which is working nicely.
Thumbnail, which didn't work for me, nothing was rendered.
Third option which I didn't understand and which also rendered nothing.
I was trying to display the image inside a text module with tokens enables.
[User:Image]
Or
[Profile:Image]
Both didn't work.
Any idea of how to do that?
Thanks.
Hi. Well... You would probably have to use a custom SQL statement. Dynamic Registration stores the files in your portals root home directory under DynamicRegistration_Images (usually under\portals\0\DynamicRegistration_Images). If you link a core file there it simply stores the filename within the core. Its not going to store the entire directory and file. So in your text modul you would need to show something like: < img src = "http://www.yoursite.com/portals/0/DynamicRegistration_Images/[Profile:Image]" > You might setup a demonstration of this on www.betasprings.com and then if you run into problems then we can research it from there.
The key is:
1. Is it saving images in that directory?
2. Is it storing the filename if you go to Admin, User Accounts, Manage Users and edit a users profile property (within the core). If you go down and see that field is it saving the filename there? If not is it linked within Dynamic Registration to store the filename there? -Chad
Hi. Well yes Beta Springs is still running on 4.5.x I believe so it doesn't support the token replacement with that version of DNN. It sounds like you solved that issue though. Earlier I was thinking you wanted to use it in the Dynamic User Directory which can support including either the image or thumbnail easily. On the image / image thumbnail issue... This option generates the same exact filename but with tn_ in front of it. Because of this you need to actually save the file at least one time after making the change, otherwise its not going to create that thumbnail picture for you etc... So, since you set the thumbnail to be 20 x 20 the image is very small but if you go to http://www.betasprings.com/Avisimagetest/tabid/231/Default.aspx now and login as host you will see that the image (thumbnail) is rendered correctly and since I set it to display the thumbnail with a link to the main image you can click on it. So might just set the thumbnail to be larger (like 200 x 200 or something) and then always reference the filename with tn_ in front of it? -Chad
