Hi chad,

i'm logged in, in a profiles tab, just a regular tab. when I click on the home tab it takes me there but logs me out.

Any ideas?

Same issue at betasprings.com

I log in, click on the logo and it throws me out.

I think it keeps me in only in tabs where there are dynamic registration instances.

Very weird... Are you using IE or Firefox? Also, is this after you login just logging in or actually registering a user with Dynamic Registration and then it authenticated the user after? Which page on betasprings.com are you logging in or registering where you are getting this? As far as I know you are the first to ever report this so I would also clear all of your browser cache and close / reopen your browser.

Even on this site. I just tried. I clicked on the logo and it threw me out. I didn't see it yet in IE but in safari and opera also. and not always...very weird .

I just log in in the home page, by clicking on DNN log in, it remebers my name and password, it logs me in, I click on "home" and then I'm out. If I click on a different tab there is no problem.

On IE I click on "log out" , it refreshes the page but I'm still in!.

Very weird... Only when you attempt to sign in starting on the registration page it looks like... We are reviewing this. When you navigate to the registration page and off of it there doesn't seem to be a problem?

Yes there other problems. after update some times it takes me to the correct next page, sometimes not.
Sorry but I'm not sure what you said, is it in my machine only or not?

The way to go behind that bug is to:
admn/user accounts/set users
redirect to a different page after log in.
this way it is working fine with firefox and IE.

Hi. Well for some reason when I went to that link (your test link) from the menu and not directly and then signed in it worked fine... I tested this several times, the one time I was able to duplicate it for some reason it would work fine on EVERY other page but when clicking on the logo icon. Very weird. I should note though that the betasprings.com site is still running on 4.5.3 I believe and using default host credentials... Not sure if that should matter but just something to note. Also the Beta Springs site has lots of beta testing and many different configuration changes so its probably not the best environment to be the most reliable (not to mention several users signing in with that same login and logout out with that login etc...). I have tested this on 4.6.2 and 4.8.1 this morning locally and can't duplicate it at all. What version of DNN are you running on? This might be one for a support ticket if this is something you can duplicate consistently on your site.

Hi, I am using 4.8. Murphy said that if you caught it once it will catch you twice.
If I was using the DNN module for registration then I would have report them. since it happens only in the portal where I am using dynamic registration I won't report them.

Great... Yes as long as you can duplicate it and something we can test (and not browser specific or machine specific, and something we can really narrow down specifically) we should be able to find out what is causing it and if it is in turn something the module is doing. As I said though right now this is a isolated issue being reported so its difficult to determine the exact specifics yet... Because of this its probably a good idea to go ahead and open a support ticket though and once we identify exactly what is causing it we can come back to post what it was here.

Hi. You just need to login with your same username and password when you purchased it on Snowcovered.com and then open a support ticket for the product directly there. We can review the case and follow up on this post to determine what was causing the issue. We will probably need admin or edit rights to the page/module if possible.
