I have the newest version of Dynamic User Directory installed, but I can't find the Excel-export feature anywhere? Where is it is supposed to be ....

Hi. This feature was added shortly before release but after documentation was already completed. You can export users by logging in as an administrator and adding Export=True to the querystring (or if you are using friendly URLS /Export/True/ within the URL right before /Default.aspx.

If the export is not in the correct format you want (it will spit out all users and all fields etc...) then our Interactive User Import / Export has an export feature as well that has a few more options.

Hi. Thanks for the update. Yes, it just depends on if the site uses friendly URLS (actually our suggestion should work either way). We are adding features to the next release to automatically show a link and have more export ability (such as based on the filtered results of the current search on the module as well as which security roles should have access to export the file)

Hi, has the export feature been fully implemented properly now, and can it be used by any role with the required access, or is it still only able to be done as an admin via a querystring?

Hi. The module current requires only Admins by the querystring. The next version will include the ability to choose if the Export link button should be present on the directory and choose which roles have access to view/click it.

For now you can also use Interactive User Import/Export which can be made avaliable to any security role and has more features such as what fields to export, what the delimiter within the file should be etc....
