I am really pleased with the Presentation Archive module. It is the exact solution I needed and through hours of searching nothing else would work. After working with it for several hours I have found a need for a few enhancements.
#1 - Ability to delete resources from the the Manage Resources Menu.
#2 - Ability to Re-order Categories, Presentations, and Resources.
#3 - Skins (template layouts) that can be selected so different modules can have a different layout. Some of my templates will not need the presenter or date while others might.
The first 2 items I can manipulate from the SQL Tables if need be.
A non-essential features would be to allow comment posting.
Thanks,
Jeff

Can only agree completely with the previous poster.
I'm in the very same spot and have found myself wanting the same things.
Apparently #1, resourse deletion, is already fixed and about to be released (according to answer to snowcovered help request) |

Hi Jeff and Michael,
We're glad to hear that the Presentation Archive module is working for you. Here's an update on your requests:
1. Delete Resources: This is being finalized and should be available in Patches and HotFixes in a few days.
2. We are working on this feature for the next release.
3. We're still reviewing our options for the skins request.
4. The ability to post comments is also being reviewed at this time.
Thank you so much for your comments. Suggestions such as yours help us improve our products.
Thanks,
Candace |

After a fix request, I did get a patch for the issue of deleting a resource, however, I had to make one small code change.
FIX: Open DesktopModules\Presentation Archive\Edit Resources.ascx. In the last TD tag there are 3 ASP:LINKBUTTON tags. Remove 'Visible="False" ' from the 3rd instance. Save file, reload the application.
Done.

Thanks Candace. One other item to address would be that if the module is down the page a bit, when you select a presentation, the page reloads to make that selection and then your at the top of the page again and need to scroll down to get back to the module and see the presentation you selected. For an example of this, see: http://www.co.calaveras.ca.us/cc/Departments/CommunityDevelopmentAgency/PlanningDepartment.aspx
Thanks again for the support.

Thanks, we will review this. As a temporary work around, you might try going to host, module definitions, clicking edit on the Presentation Archive module, then under controls click edit on the first control for PresentationArchive.ascx. Check the box 'Supports Partial Rendering?'? This flag indicates whether the module control supports AJAX partial rendering and I believe that this shouldn't force the postback to the server (or at least it should help). -Chad |

Found another thing to wish for - when one has a number of presentations in a category, each with a number of resources, the list can grow pretty long. It would be nice to be able to initially have the resource lists, and also possibly the presentation descriptions, hidden/collapsed for a better initial overview of the presentations in the category.
