So we have the newsticker running and grabbing the data from our announcements page , however it grabs all of the data which takes forever and just keeps scrolling. I was not able to find a way for it to only grab the message header and scroll those only ??

Did you modify the stored procedure to get it to pull in from the announcements table? IF so what is the query look like, you should be able to modify it to only pull in the announcement title and not the announcement full message.

From the Announcements table you should only pull in the 'Title' and not the Description.

Hi. This is actually the Flash News Ticker for SharePoint and we will move it later to the SharePoint Forums area (this is under www.datasprings.com, products, SharePoint Web Parts, SharePoint Forums). This forum is for DotNetNuke.

Either way... Unfortunatly there is no way to only scroll the titles. The web part is setup to display both titles and news item. You could change it to be 'more details...' so that it didn't have to load so much. We will work on adding this to the enhancements lists for future releases.
