I've been testing the Directory module on the betasprings site and have a couple issues/questions..

  1. Is it possible to link search results to more details page.
E.g., The search produces a list of results and each result has a link that will take the user to a page (or populate the module on that page) that displays more details, like [Firstname] [Lastname] [Biography] [Phone] etc.
  2. The "Display No Records Until Search" checkbox is not working (as I would expect it to anyway) in the demo area. It does work though, right?

Thanks, Ken

Ken,

Hi. Sorry for the late reply here..

A few things, 1. Yes you can link to a more details page using our Tailored Text/HTML Module. You can actually see a demonstration of this if you go to our Dynamic User Directory page under Products, DNN Modules, Dynamic User Directory. Within each listing click 'View Details'. This is somewhat complicated though so we are working to implement a more direct 'Detail Template'. The detail template will include a token you can use within the listing template that will generate a more detailed template. This should be ready in the next release which we hope is around early October.

2. This appears to be a bug, at least from the beta springs site. I don't think this bug exists in the current release but if it does we should have a fix our quickly. If you actually look (going back into settings) you will notice that its not saving that flag at all. Ill try and uninstall/reinstall to test and if a patch is needed will put it up for testing on Beta Springs by the end of the week. This should be a minor fix so it shouldn't take long.
