I have a site where we've added the dynamic registration and user directory to, with around 1200 users already registered via standard DNN registration (so they're only in the DNN user tables).

It seems that the user directory report I've produced will only show me fields from the dynamic registration tables. This means my report does one of two things depending on how I configure it:

  1. The report returns all 1200 users, but for the majority who registered before installing dynamic registration all fields are blank as they have no data in the Dyn. Reg. tables. So my report shows 1100 blank rows and 100 rows with data.
  2. If I set the report to show only rows where First Name is not empty, it only shows users who have registered after installing the dynamic registration, or have updated their details since I added the dynamic registration module. This means the report now only shows ~100 users out of the total of 1200.

Is there some way of configuring the user directory module to display fields from the core DNN user fields? The user manual seemed to indicate their was a setting for this, but it's obviously for a different version than what I've got (user directory 1.2). Or is there some way to trigger a bulk update that rips through the existing DNN based users and adds data from any (dynamic registration) linked fields to the dynamic registration table?

I've purchased the Enterprise Collection so am wondering if I could resolve this with another module like the tailored html module?

Hope this makes sense!

Steve,

HI. Yes we were just in the process of releasing Dynamic User Directory v2.0 which also offers a directory solution for the DotNetNuke Core Registration as well as with Dynamic Registration. Once this is released (and until we release a new version of the collection package) you will see this module in your patches/hot fixes. Ill send you an email to follow up with you on this now though.
