Hi guys,

This looks like just the product I need. Any idea when it's likely to be released and what sort of price point we're looking at?

Quick feature question: if we opt to have the module generate usernames for imported users, do we have any control over what sort of usernames get generated? I'm assuming using the interactive events we can send an email to each user to inform them of the username and password that have been generated?

Cheers,

Chris,

Hi. This is the product we are devoting the most time beta testing right now for the inItial release I would say by 3/1 at least. We hoped to release it much sooner but had some problems with certain file types (or are having).

Anyway, yes if you choose to have the username/password auto created you will have options such as First initial last name, first name last name, email address etc...

Hi. No the biggest issue we are having with this is that although it works great with certain import files its not working well with others. We might end up opening up the module as a free module for now until we can confirm its working properly.

Anything would be good :-) We're launching in three weeks, and basically just need to do one big import, so it would be good to find out well in advance whether our file is one of the ones that works or doesn't!

We plan to open this up as a free module (with and without source) next week until we get the full release ready.

That's awesome! Thanks! I have a DNN 2.1.2 site with 950 users that I need to migrate to 4.5.1. I was hoping to import them strictly through the database side, but it appears that you can't do it that way.

I can't access the "Beta" download (though I can access the "Source") download - I just get a part of an image instead of a zip file!

Never mind - I hadn't spotted that the source zip includes the PA zip.

CHAD!!! This rocks! Thank you so much.

I successfully migrated 950 users from my old DNN 2.1.2 site to DNN 4.5.1 using your module. You saved me so much time!

For those interested, I created a CSV file (semi-colon separated actually) by querying the 2.1.2 Users table for the data I needed to import into my 4.5.1 site. After that, it was as simple as pointing to the CSV file from within the module, mapping the fields from that file to the fields in the new system (very easy), clicked through a few more screens, and voila...completion!

Any news of release date? Has the Beta been upgraded to support custom fields?
