Using DNN 4.9.4 and IUI 1.5.51.

I am working on getting an initial import of users set up and have been doing a fair bit of testing a lot of which hasn't been working.

As Part of the import I am runnning a stored procedure to add the users to various roles and set expiry dates. I had set the sql to run 'Only on initial import' thinking 'initial' meant it only ran if the user didn't exist prior to the import.

It appears that 'initial' means the initial running of the import definition instead. As in the testing the only way I can get the SQL to run when re-using a definition with a new file is setting it to run on both initial and updates.

Is this the intended way?

TIA

Antony

HI Antony, yes there is a bug in the IUI that doesn't process / run on "Initial Import Only". We are working on a fix of this problem and it will be fixed in the next release, hopefully the end of next week. -- David

Good to hear about the upcoming fix. I'll be populating my site with users tomorrow, and my workaround is to use two import batches. First, create the users and run no import events. Second, update all the users immediately and run the necessary import events (email, role assignment, etc.).

Hi. I just wanted to follow up here. You could create a single import and just set the property to be 'Initial and Updated Imports'. The bug only exists for 'Initial Import Only' but if you choose 'Initial and Updates' it will work.
