Hello,

I am running Dynamic Registration 2.2 on DNN 4.3.4.  I am having trouble getting the registration to work the way I want.  I have set up all my dynamic fields, configured my DNN Core Integration, and set up Dynamic Reg as my registration page.  I have two hidden HTML pages, one for successful registrations and one when people update their information.

The problem is when I go to register, nothing happens after I enter in my registration data.  I do not jump to the page that says thanks for registering.  I also do not get an email to verify my email address.

I have read through the new 2.2 manual as well as the DNN 4.3.4 guide but cannot figure out where my problems come from.

Can someone who has set this up please list the steps that I need to take to make this work, both within Dynamic Registration and in the Site/Host settings?

Following is the end result I want to achieve:

1) A new user wants to register.  They click on register and see the Dynamic Reg page.  Their UserID will be their email address (the the portal will reject duplicate emails).  When they register they only see the basic fields of UserID, name, password, password confirm.  All the other Dynamic Fields are hidden because they are not yet registered..

2) After they register they go to a page that says something like "Your registration is almost finished.  You will get an email that you need to follow to finish your registration."  New users are not automatically logged in when they register.  They are not registered until they verify their information.

3) A personalized email is send to their UserID (which is their email) that gives them a verifications code.  They are told to log in with this code.

4) Once they log in with their code, they now see all the additional Dynamic Fields (some profiling questions).  Some of these are set as required while others are optional.  After they update their information they go to another HTML page that says "Thanks for updating your profile."

5) After they verify their registration, their UserID (email), First Name and Last Name are set to read only so they cannot be changed.  All other fields can be updated.

Hopefully the above is possible and is not too difficult.  Thanks in advance for your help!  I figure other new users will benefit from the answer to this question.

Chip,

Hi. You might want to open up a support ticket for this (or send us an email). It sounds like this should be correct so we would have to verify the settings. Setting some fields to read-only might cause a conflict because it currently either sets it to read-only or does not set it to read-only (meaning you can't have it as writable for registration but read-only after registration, however we are working on that enhancement).

It sounds like the module can do everything you have mentioned above so I would tripple check the settings or let one of our support reps look at it, I would start with removing any read only fields for now (such as username) and see if that fixes it.
