Hallo Chad,

If you change the value of the field in the standard DNN manage properties IU the change won't be visible in Dynamic Registration.
The old photo stays visible.

I discovered this while I was doing some tests to bulk import photos of the users with your user import module.  I'm planning to import a spreadsheet with photo-names and place the photos with those names in the dynamicregistration_images folder.

The same thing happens with an import.  DynamicRegistration keeps the old photo.

So If you change some data in DynReg. You get the old photo back.

Jan Alwin

Jan Alwin,

Hi. When you change the image filename are you also making sure that image exists in the DynamicRegistration_Images directory? Just curious, I know even if you change the filename and it is working you would need to make sure that file was in that directory for it to work with Dynamic Registration.

In the future we might look into allow you to choose which upload directory the module should use.

Hi Chad,

I just did the same thing but I put an image in the dynamic_images folder.

I don't see the old image anymore, but the new image doesn't appear either.

I only get the possiblity to upload a new image.

Hi. Ok, we are reviewing this as a bug where if you change the image within the core field it is not changing correctly within Dynamic Registration. I guess this is the first time this has come up though becuase for this to work properly it would have to be in that directory etc...

Hallo Chad,

I'm back from my Vacation.

Did you fix this bug already? I haven't yet seen a new release for this module on snowcovered.

I need to fill the site with userphoto's this week. Is there a fix coming?

I tried working around the problem by creating a new record With SQL in the DynamicRegistration_Response table. But this doesn't seem to work either.  (I made a new record with the user_id of the user and as response the name of the image.)

I could temporally disable the photofield in DynamicRegistration but I need a fix soon. New users must be able to upload there own pictures.
