I now have a fully functional registration page ,but i want to make some the the fields editable only by the admin and viewable by users(I have a Profile page). I need to know how i can use this. I have tried to get into the mangage questions field .There is an option which says "Read only" but as my luck goes it is inactive.So i am not able to see if that will solve my problem. If any one knows how to get around this or have faced it before lindly post it here.

Do users (non admins) need to see these fields at all? If not you can use the feature to 'Hide fields by security role' to hide the fields from standard users and only admins will see them. Admins will always see all fields no matter what so you might see if you can just have fields that are 'hidden by security role' for all registered users? -Chad

Oh yes,The users must see this field.The read only works for the text box field.What i have is a check box field and it does not give me an option to make it read only.Is there any way to make a check box read only

Hi. Thanks for the heads up on this. Users should be able to set a field read only for checkbox field types. We are in the process of coding 3.2/beta testing for the 3.2 release now and ill check on this. Are you sure its not disabled but it just appears that they could check it (like it doesn't look disabled) or can they actually check it even if its read only?

The option read only for check box field appears but it is grayed out.
