I used to receive new member notification before I started using DR. Am I missing something? What do I need to do?  My site setting is set to verified. Also, the members do not get verification code/email unless I approve them! Why so?

Hi. Well previous versions (original versions) of Dynamic Registration used to send out these types of notifications but all of this functionality was later moved into the 'Dynamic Email Completion Events'. So you need to setup a completion event for each email that you want to go out. This provides you more control of the email that goes out, as well as full Rich Text Editor/HTML access to change the look of the emails. This can also allow for more options (such as send one message to 'Buyers' if the user chose 'Buyers' from a dropdownlist and another welcome message to 'Sellers' etc...)

So... Go and create a completion event. If you want to send the email to the user you can use a short field name for the token which represents the users email (such as $(Email) in the email to if the short field name is Email).

For verification emails you can use $(VerificationCode) and $(VerificationCodeLink)  as tokens. You can search our forums as there are several threads related to this such as this thread.
