SQL Completion Events -
Removing a User from a DNN security role

I have a dynamic registration all set up on my DotNetNuke site. I have question fields setup and some completion events.

I currently have it set up so that when a user enters a radio field a certain way they become a basic registered user and the completion event is set up so that they become a member of the DNN Security Role called Basic Site User.

Then when basic users update their registration they are asked if they want to the call in advance user or not. When they choose to become an advance user they are added to the DNN Security role called Advance User. I have the setup, but I do not want an advance user that is in the Advance User security role to also be in the Basic Site User security role because it messes up some of the other dynamic registration pages I have setup and other things on my site.

There are no choices in completion events for taking someone out of a DNN Security Role. Is there an SQL Completion Event that could do? I am only a little familiar with SQL so some examples would be very helpful.

I would suggest data springs to add the following to Dynamic Registration. On the completion event area of Dynamic Registration have a list of all the security roles currently on the DNN site with check boxes next to each DNN Security Roles. When a user creates a completion event relating to some question they can simply check or unchecked what security roles they would like that user to be in or not in.

Hi... I was getting ready to respond to this but found another thread related to this.

SQL Event to Delete User From Security Role

Specifically, this covers how the 'Role' completion event works and what it covers, and also shows a SQL event that could be used to remove the user from a role if the standard role completion event doesn't meet your implementation requirements.
