DNN 3.3.7

DynReg 2.3

I am trying to pass a value from my custom registration page to a redirect page using the Advanced Field settings below:

Advanced Field Options:

Pass values of this question to querystring variable:

Pass values of this question to session variable:

If either of these options are selected, the module doesn't log in the user on submit and also doesn't redirect to the requested page. When I disable these options, the module performs as expected.

I was hoping to overcome the "Email not being saved to the core tables" bug by passing the Email as a Session variable to a ListX mod on the redirect page where I could perform a DB update to populate the email value.

Am I missing something, or is this another fix for the upcoming 2.4 version?

Eric,

Hi. Your suggestion shoudl work, I am trying to duplicate right now on the 4.3.x in stallation but an not able to duplicate. I will add this to review before we release the patch/hot fixes for the 3.3.x version.

Another alternative would be to use the dynamic SQL event.

Eric,

Hi. I wanted to let you know that during development of 2.4 we did find this issue. Apparently if you add to pass both querystring and session variables you shouldn't get the error but you choose session only you will. This is being corrected in 2.4 and will also be fixed in the 2.3 patch for DNN 3.3. We hope to have both of these released within the next two weeks.
