We have multiple quesitons that are visible depending on previous selection. But they are essentially the same question, just contextualized to the user. They all write to same db field (core, t/f). they are all checkbox.

Issue is that it appears that out of the 4 choices, only the first one will write the data. I'm pretty sure we have verified all settings correct. I wouldn't think there'd be an issue, but i wanted to be sure that DR doesn't have a problem with me setting more than one question (same type etc) to write to same db field.

Thx,
TJ

What's the good word? Can you have more than one question (not visible at same time) write to same db field? If so, what can i look for in our configuration that may be preventing it and only allowing the first question we created to write successfully?
Thx

Hmmm... You technically should be able to I believe. I am wondering if its actually that a questino is 'over-riding' the other. Does it reset the value back to blank or does it just not set the value?

Can you setup a sample scenerio with just a basic field on beta springs to see if you can duplicate it there? You can login as host/dnnhost.

As far as I know you should be able to hide a question, display another question, and then updating the registration should update the question that is visible.

I will do that, perhaps next week. The scenario is that we were contextualizing it to a group choice. For example, user has 5 radio choices of group. The t/f check box then appears based on group choice w/the question being: blah, blah group1; blah blah group2 and so forth.

So the db mapping was all same and they 5 check boxes were only visible by question event based on selection for question "group".

As a work around we are using only one question with generic text and disabling label. Then placing a text/html above it that is contextual. Not the smoothest but it got us what we need until i can figure out why it wouldn't "take".

I'll let you know what I find on the beta site once i can get to it.
Thx,
Tj
