Hi
I have 2 sites one DNN v4.3.5 the other DNN v4.3.7 both have identical settings (and v2.3 of module) but the problems occur with the v4.3.7 site.

When i update a Registration I get the following validation(?) errors:

  • Please enter a correct value for Email
  • Please enter a correct value for Phone
  • Please enter a correct value for Email

There are dynamic fields for Email and Telephone but they are not required fields and do not have the same names as above (Telephone & EmailAddress) and have been linked to thier corresponding core fields.
This Validation seems to happen serverside.

I have setup the Core Integration correctly (I hope).
Under General Settings:
Enable Server Validation - checked
User can change their username - unchecked
Validate Email Address - unchecked

Under DNN User Settings:
All Show Column are unchecked
Require a valid Profile for Login - checked
All Profile Properties are not required and not visible (everything unchecked)

Question 2:
How can i setup so that if users login and they need to update their complete some Registration Question, they are redirected to the Registration Page with Module on it from login?

Please help

Thanks in advance Paul

PS: apologies if this is the second time I am posting - wasnt sure if first one when through

Paul,

This is weird. Do you have any settings under 'validation settings' within these questions for not just required but also regular expression validators? It would almost appear that the validation text would have to be setup within this area since the module doesn't actually throw in a default of 'Please enter a correct value for' for any fields. If you still can't figure it out please contact us or open a Snowcovered ticket so that we can review it in more detail.

Hi Chad
No validation settings for any question normal or regex. Have tried uninstalling Module and Adding again, tried to Import Content of question from working site. Do you have any suggestions, will The Module work with DNN 4.4.1 and is it worth upgrading?
Thanks
Paul

I think you got thios part.... but just in case

Admin | Site Settings | Advanced | Userpage

Set user page to the page with your reg form

....................

You can use question events to hide certain questions from unregistered users. Use post reg events to assign a Role that will mark them as "needing to answer additional post reg questions"

You can make a "nag" module appear for this role on every page with a link to the reg form

the reg form will display your additional questions at this time. once these questions are answered remove the user from the "nag role"

I did have problems in v 2.2 with removing users from roles - not sure if it still exists in the newer versions

hopefully this will give you a starting point
