Please help.

 

I upgraded DNN form 3.2 to 4.3.7 - worked fine but noticed registration wasn't working.

 

Realised I probably needed to upload 4.3.7 compatible module.  I installed DataSprings_DynamicRegistration_Module22_DNN40THRU42.zip and whilst in the module definitions screen it said it uploaded successfully, my site is now not available.  All i get is the following error:

Description: An error occurred during the compilation of a resource required to service this request. Please review the following specific error details and modify your source code appropriately.

Compiler Error Message: BC30560: 'DataProvider' is ambiguous in the namespace 'DataSprings.Modules.DynamicRegistration'.

Hi. The following file should have been including in the zip file that included the installaiton. I am working to confirm this is there but for now here is the fix:

************IMPORTANT UPGRADE NOTICE!!!!!*****************
Dynamic Registration V2.3 has changed from compiling code at run time to running under a pre-compiled DLL.
Because of this change if you are running on ASP.NET 2.0 / DNN 4.x you will need to manually delete files
before or right after installing the upgrade.

You must perform manual steps if you are:
1. Upgrading from V2.2 or lower
2. Upgrading on a server running DNN 4.x (including 4.3.x).

You can skip these manual steps if this is a fresh installation or if you are running on 3.x

Step 1: FTP To your site and delete the following files
DotNEtNuke\App_Code\Dynamic Registration\ - Delete all files in this directory
Step 2: FTP to your site and delete the following files
DotNeTNuke\DesktopModules\Dynamic Registration - Delete all files that end in .VB from this directory
You must perform these steps or you will receive errors after you install V2.3 or higher
NOTE: If you remove the entire directory within APP_CODE you will need to remove some items from your web.config.
