Is it possible to create user accounts to other child portals. If I have two child portals, and a user registers on one, can the account be used on the other. I guess the process would be

1. register on portal 1

2. Add user to portal 1

3. Resgister on portal 2

4. If account exists, grant access to portal 2

Hi. Dynamic Login as an SSO feature that you can enable so that when a user signs into 'Portal 2' and they exist in 'Portal 1' it can automatically create them as a valid user in portal 1 so that is one option to consider.

In my scenario, portal 1 would be the parent and portal 2 would be the child. The user will register with portal 2 first, then I'd like to automatically add them to portal 1. Is the best way to kick off a completion event after registration on portal 2? The user may register with portal 1 but would not get access to portal 2.

Hi Erik,

Not sure if this was already addressed by email so I'll add comments here:

Dynamic Login has a feature called  Reverse SSO (SSO=Single Sign On) which can add a user to the master if the user is logging on to a portal and they do not exist in the master.  See more info on Enhancements for V 2..2.  Thanks!

Hi,

Is it possible to have SSO enabled from Dynamic Registration, instead of have to wait for the user to log in with Dynamic Login? We've found that, having installed DL on a DNN makes SSO if user log in from stardard login module. This only works if user account(s) is(are) already created on child portal(s), which is a feature that DR doesn't have. It would be very useful that DR could create that(those) account(s) on child portal(s).

Regards,
Francisco

Hi. We will review this in the future, when have worked with some clients in the past to use a dynamic SQL Completion Event to add the user to the userportals table and userroles table (which is basically what the SSO / Dynamic Login module is doing). So you might consider going this route.
