I would like to suggest the option to "Hide until forced visible by question event.:" for multiple fields at one time. Something similar to when you are creating a question event and you can select via checkbox which fields to hide or show.

This would be a huge help for when you make a copy of a Dynamic Registration module and you are wanting to only show parts of the information and not all of it. IE creating a manage profile section from a copy of the registration page.

Shawn,

Hi. Thanks for your feedback. Yes, I think this feature would be very useful. Since it would still need to be at the question level (so multiple question events could take advantage of it) we are reviewing two separate methods of handling this.

1. A 'group' name property for each field. The group name property would have a few advantages. You could specify a group name within each field and then within the question event you could specify the affected groups instead of the affected fields (or a combination of them). There are other advantages here as well, including possibly a custom template that could optionally be applied for groups so that in between groups you could have an automatic divider such as:
$(GroupName)

2. We are also working on ways to integrate more 'wizard' features in future releases. A few examples might be a 'mass' update on a particular field property. For example, within the wizard you would find a checkbox list (maybe 5 per row) of each of your fields, and below that a dropdownlist of available tasks. Each task would have its own set of properties but for the most part this would just be a textbox or maybe a checkbox etc... You would also be able to check all fields you want this task to process. A few examples might be:

* Select 20 fields from your list of 30 total fields and specify a task of 'Required field'. From there you check the box to indicate each field should be marked required and then specify text for the required field text and required field validation error. So for example, '* The [Question] is a required field'. When processed this would mark all 20 fields required and specify the required field text based on the questions label

* Select 10 fields from your list of 30 total fields and specify a task of 'Pass field values via querystring'. After selecting a task a checkbox would appear and you would either check or uncheck the box depending on if you wanted to implement the setting or remove implementation of the setting. After clicking execute it would set the property for each of the 10 fields based on if you checked the box.

A similar example would be implemented for 'Hide until forced visible by question event' so that you could check as many fields you would want and with a single click implement the feature.

Anyway... We are still researching new features and enhancement requests but this is a great item that I am sure you will find in future releases.

Option #2 sounds right up the alley of what I was thinking. I think that would make for a useful implementation.
