I've been working to set up Opt-in Email, version 3.0.

I've found that, whether I set up check boxes in DR and link them to the Opt-in Email newsletter categories, or if I just use the Opt-in module, once the newsletter boxes are checked and then submitted, those checks disappear when the still-authenticated user returns to the forum. This leads to confusion of the user, making it seem like nothing was subscribed, or, in a worst case, causes the user to be unsubscribed if the form is submitted again but the boxes are not once again checked.

I noticed this problem with DR when using check boxes, but always worked around it by using the radio buttons -- which retained the selection on return by an authenticated user. I thought to try this work-around this time too, but discovered that only checkboxes, and not radio buttons, may be used in DR or in Opt-in Email with regard to selecting newsletters.

Is there any kind of a solution that I can try?

Thanks Chad!

Steve

Sorry to be a nudge, but I'm literally at a halt because of this. So, nudge nudge!
