Hmmm,

I am using Ventrians' Friendly URL Provider

I have a site running 2.6 and this works fine.

With 3.0, the user is sent to the correct page from the verification email. When they get there the  module is blank and they are never verified. What would caus the Verification Email Sent Message not to show?

Do you have a copy of the link that you could post? If you temporarily disable the friendly URL provider does the module work?

Also, what version of DotNetNuke is this running on?

Hi, I have the same problem.
I receive this link from "simple opt it" :
http://www.a_a_a.com/OptIN/tabid/56/ctl/ /Approval/1/OptInID/179eda5f-b8bc-46a9-b0be-b49fe6dbdd80/Default.aspx
and this page cannot found ! ("www.a_a_a.com" is a simple)
The correct url was:
http://www.a_a_a.com/OptIN/tabid/56/Approval/1/OptInID/179eda5f-b8bc-46a9-b0be-b49fe6dbdd80/Default.aspx

why cannot produce the correct url?

Hi. We just found the issue to this, apparently in DNN 4.7 (at least in DNN 4.8) the friendly URLS are working differently and therefore your URL is getting /ctl// in it. Once this is removed the link works. We have a fix for this avaliable now but have not posted it, until we post it please open a support case and we can provide it for you. We plan to post probably next week, just doing a few more tests again 4.7/4.8.

We are trying to upgrade to DNN 4.7 and have noticed this issue. Have you posted the fix yet and if so, where can I find it?

Hi. We have now updated the download on Snowcovered.com directly to reflect this update. Once you re-download the package just install on top of your current release and you should be all fixed up.

I have this same issue with Simple Opt-In not building the correct verificartion link ..

I understand this is because of the way newer versions of DNN create urls. The regular Opt-In email module does build the correct verification link, but Simple Opt-In does not. I am using the following versions on DNN 4.84

 

Opt-In Advanced Email 3.0

Opt-In Email 3.1

Opt-In Previois Newsletters 3.0

Simple Opt-In 3.0

 

Is there an update to the Simple Opt-In available or coming soon?
