In my settings of the Advanced email, I tested the SMTP settings and am receiving emails.

However, when I schedule a newsletter to be send, email is never sent. In this particular case, I have it set to test mode and to send to a test email account.

I am running DNN 4.8.2 and OPT-In 3.1.1

Any ideas? And dead in the water right now

Schedule settings are:
Frequesncy: 5 minutes
Retry 10 Minutes

Also, when I try to send an email directly, emails are not being sent as well. (in test mode)

Hi. Well I would be very concerned with running the scheduler every 5 minutes once you are done testing. Typically this could overlap or cause issues because of possible overlapping.

Are you using host settings or custom SMTP settings? The SMTP function calls were recently changed to use the same as the Core so if you go to ADmin, Newsletters do you get email there successfully? When you go into the scheduler logs do you see any specific error messages or details?

1. Changed the scheduler to 1 hour and 15 minutes retry

2. I have tried both the host settings and custom settings, neither are sending emails.

3. I tried the built-in newsletter and i received the email

4. No entries in the log viewer

Thanks for the Help...in case I forget to say later

When you go into the scheduler history does it show that any distributions were going out? How many users are currently setup (and active/verified) within the distribution list?

When i go to host>Schedule>Dataspring...>History, I do not see a place where it states the number of distributions.

Am I looking in the wrong place?

For now I have one user in the distribution list. I am trying to get this setup right b4 letting the churches use it.

Looking at the previous newsletters, it does not appear that any mail was sent
"This newsletter was sent to a total of 0 subscribers"

Test/Log settings, where is the information stored so I can view it?
