Hi,

Thanks for a great module. I have a problem with the in the e-mail that opt-in sends out. We have some users who use Lotus Notes for reading their e-mails. When they get the e-mail with the verification link it doesn't work to click it. It seems the link is two long and is cut short by Lotus Notes. Any solution to this?

Regards

Johan

So the link that is created is correct but the email application doesn't render it right? You can always include a link yourself in the email to where they can manage their subscription. This is more work but would solve the issue, some email applications render links differently, especially if they are longer or have parameters in them etc... The best thing the user can do (and you can remind them) is to copy/paste the full URL in the browser.

Thanks. Problem is that the URL is not visible at all so they cannot copy and paste to the browser. The URL is hidden behind the text saying "Verify Email Address".

The real URL seems to be something like: ...Default.aspx?TabId=2752&Approval=1&OptInID=239c9dd4-0064-467c-80f9-b49c7c735c5d

How would I write the OptInID? Ii this the same for all users?

Ahhh. I see, this is for the verification email and not the newsletter. Well these links are defined with standard link tags so users shouldn't have too big of a problem however another option to give them would be to have them right click on the link and click copy shortcut and then have them paste the shortcut in a browser window.
