i get this error during the import of users:

The 'Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0' provider is not registered on the local machine.

but the dll is registered on the server with the latest version 4.095...

we have a windows 2003 64 bit server and .net framework 2.0 (version 1.1 is not installed)

this is the whole error message from the event tracking:

this error seems to be a problem with the 64bit version.

i testet the import on our 32bit windows 2003 server with the same cms version and there i didn't get the error.

a patch would be very nice.

Hi. Yes we have run into similar problems with our Interactive User Import module (and datasprings.com is also running on 64 bit system). The main issue is that 64 bit operating system just does NOT include the Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0 engine, which is sad to say the least. A quick google search for 'Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0' and 64 Bit Operating System brings up several threads related to this, and Microsoft event provides a download for the Jet Engine but an install on any 64 bit server we tested against didn't work.

We will continue to research this, there were several work arounds we found for the Interactive User Import module as it has more importing options then the Opt In Email module. I think in the future we found a work around with using another provider for VS 2008 as well.
