Hi, I have tried all the combinations possible on the settings, but still cannot send mails out... or at least I'm not receiving them. The only one I do receive is the "Bulk Email Confirmation". I have tried Synchronous, Asynchronous, with and without Scheduler, Personalized, BCC, using Host settings or not... no results.

I do receive also the Opt In emails during subscription/verification.

I need to use the module to schedule the process to send only groups of 75 every 5 minutes.

I'm using DNN 4.3.7 under medium trust shared hosting.

Hi, I cannot send mails yet.  I have tested the core Newsletter module, and I could send a mail using the email address setting under host/SMTP as the sender.  Using host settings with Opt In does not work.

Hi. Can you test using the 'Scheduler' feature. Just schedule it for a few minutes in advance. This will provide us with more logging on what actually the issue is.

Hi, what's the difference between sending "personalized" and "BCC - bulk" mails? My concern is the restriction of the hosting company. Using "personalized" will send an email to each address, or will be just one email for all recipients? Btw, everything works fine when I use "personalized", if I use BCC-Bulk the newsletter is not added to the schedule. Also, is there's a limitation for the size/content of the Newsletter Template? I couldn't save all the content, just like half of it.

Did anyone ever figure out how resolve this issue.  I am having the same issue.  I do not receive any errors.  DotNetnuke sends the bulk confirmation email but the Opt-in Email module never creates an .eml file used by smarterMail.

Hi guys,

V3.0 is being released today and we have done a lot of different tests related to sending of emails with different SMTP servers etc...

Just a few things and comments (also with 2.6).

* I would suggesting using the scheduler option in Test mode, this will allow you to turn logging on to get a better idea for what is causing the problem
* I would setup a test opt in email list to test with

Finally, from the thread above keep in mind that using BCC will not use a scheduler. This is because BCC sends just one major email that cannot be personalized (and therefore really defeats the purpose of using the scheduler).

Also, we will be giving anyone having the issue a free upgrade from 2.6 to 3.0 (otherwise you will receive 80% off during checkout). Please open a support ticket on Snowcovered if you are having the issue and would like the free upgrade.
