First thanks for the great module, we just bought it and are testing it out.

Referring to an earlier topic:

http://www.datasprings.com/Products/ProductForums/tabid/727/forumid/4/postid/40/view/topic/Default.aspx

We found out the same problem with the links for the verify/manage email wich are generated from the tags like "$(ManageURL)" and "$(VerifyURL)".

Some email program render only half of the link, thats means, if you click on the link, or right-click and copy shortcut, you will get a wrong link, the "OptInID" will be missing in the link. And then the user will only get an error message in stead of the verify page.

I tested a little more and found out the problem is mostly because of the missing of double quotation for the url in the link, eg.:

Verify email address

it should be:

Verify email address

Some email program render an incomplete link without the "" quotations.

So what we want to know about is:

1)

where can we change the coding for these links, for example add the quotations for the links.

If this function for replacing the tags the links is inside the dll files, can you guys do a fix for that?

2)

further more there is a strong wish that there can be option for sending the url as text (not as a link with html codes). So there will not be problem if the email reader is text only or require user to "enable active content", otherwise the link will not show at all in these cases.

So how about the $(VerifyURL), $(ManageURL) or $(OptOutURL) tag only generate the url, not

Thank you and look forward to any suggestions

Gasta,

Hi. Thanks very much for your comments.

1. I reviewed the coe and see what you are talking about. This shouldn't be a difficult fix so we will make sure to have it for the next release.

2. Also not a problem, we will add this parameter in the next release.

This actually comes at great timing since we are right in the middle of the next release as it is. More features coming including email tracking and so forth to determine the success of each newsletter (i.e. who read it, etc...). We hope to have the next release ready by April 1st.

-Chad
