HI Anh, several questions:
1) your options for question 1 (is this a listbox, combobox, checkbox group or radio butto group field)?
2) the "Other, please specify", you want this to specifically be a textbox?

Hi David,

It is a radio button group, with "Other" a text box, that the user can input in their response.
Thanks.

HI Anh, there's no way to make a textbox part of the question 1 which is a radio button group. What you can do instead, is create a separate text box and make it "Unhide based on question events" under "Advanced Options". Then you create a question event based on the radio button choice option (Other) and if user chooses Other then it will unhide the textbox for the user to enter data. -- David

Just to add a thought...

This is REALLY something that DataSprings should look into developing.  It's pretty common functionality.

A "radiobuttons-plus-other" -- and "checkboxes-plus-other" and "listbox-plus-other" -- question types would be very well-received by the community.

Go, DataSprings!

Hi John,

Are you on Dynamic Forms 3.0?  If you are, there is a feature now availabe for comboboxes (dropdowns) where you can type in your response if it is not among the choices provided.  Please check out our Demonstrations Page and see Demo #26.  Thanks!

Thank you David!
Agree with you John!
Candace - Great!... only question is, not many people would know they can type their response in.... I didn't until I try typing and it worked.

Thanks all!

Hi Anh,

It took me a minute to realize that too.      In Demo 26, I added a header to the question to give instructions so hopefully that helps.  We will continue to look for ways to improve with feedback such as yours and John's.  Thanks!

Candace
