Maybe others would be interested too??

Where and how does Dynamic Forms store data, if one does not specify a UDT (user-defined table), and how does one view the stored data??

Thank you, Tom

Tom,

Hi. Dynamic Forms stores data in relational tables (specifically DynamicForms_QuestionResponse table). This table includes foreign keys such as the DynamicQuestionID and stores other important information such as the data time of the response and most important (to query against and if you build a view against the table the UniqueResponseID) so that for each form that is submitted there is a uniquecompletionID that is kept.

So... All of that being said you could store the data in any table you wanted to. Dynamic Forms includes a feature called Dynamic SQL Events and like other completion events you can fire these for any form submission or based on a user response to a field (or can also setup as few or as many completion events as you would like). So, with a SQL Event you could actually insert or update any table... You have access to all field tokens within the email so if you had a table called 'MyCustomTable' with three fields in it you could have something like this:

Insert Into MyCustomTable(FirstName, LastName, EmailAddress) Values('$(FNameField)', '$(LNameField)', '$(EmailField)')

This is assuming the shortfield name for your fields on the form is FNameField, LNameField, and EmailField.

Hope this helps!

-Chad
