I set a default radio button for a question and now I would to unset all -- have no default set.  How can I do that without re-creating the whole question?

Thanks,

Mike,

Hi. Yes there is no 'UnSet Default Value' for radio buttons once they are setup. We will likely add a 'Clear Default' link button within that section in the future to provide this ability. For now, just make note of the short field name and go under Host, SQL and you can do this:

Update DynamicForms_Question
Set DefaultVAlue = ''
Where ShortFieldName = 'Phone'

That query would reset the default value back to blank if the short field name was 'Phone'.

OK -- great workaround.  Looking forward to the reset functionality later.

I found an easier workaround. If you're using firefox, get the web developer toolbar. Under forms there's a 'Clear Radio Buttons' option. Doing that while on the settings for that field will clear all radio buttons on the page. But just re-select "radio buttons" under 'question type' and all of your settings remain unaltered. Except for the 'default value', which will stay cleared!

Travis,

Hi. Thanks for this post!

Also, we are releaseing a patch today for the 3.2 release of Dynamic Registration and 2.6 release of Dynamic Forms. Within the patch/hot fix you now have an option to have 'No default' for fields. Checking this box will reset the default (or initially set it) to nothing.

Thanks again though, that is a very useful tool.
