I have a simple form that works fine when the submit link is clicked however, if the user clicks the enter key instead it acts like it submits back to itself.  So I know the enter key has iniated something - it just doesn't seem to be my form action.  Does anybody have any suggestions on how I can fix this?  Thanks.

Hi everyone... I wanted to follow up on this thread. We were still reviewing this issue (and are). At first glance adding it as a global property was causing problems with client side events and question events. We are still researching this though... In the mean time we received an email from Melissa with a work around. I wanted to post this work around for anyone who has this requirement (pressing enter key forces form submission)....

-----------

In order to use the ‘onKeyPress’, I had to add a hidden field to duplicate the entry - the receiving page expects the form var named 'username'

On field event:
$(username) = $(usernameonkeypress);
checkEnter(event)

Added this to JS page:
function checkEnter(e){

if(e && e.which){
e = e
characterCode = e.which
}
else{
e = event
characterCode = e.keyCode
}

if(characterCode == 13){
__doPostBack('dnn$ctr2102$DynamicForms$lnkSave','');
return false;
}
else{
return true;
}

}

---------

Thanks Melissa!

Also, this Javascript would change slightly depending on your ModuleID. You will need to view the source of the page to get the lnksave actual ID. In this case it was dnn$ctr2102$DynamicForms$lnkSave'.
