It sure would be nice to have a confirmation of the view results purge all records field. Just a yes/no sort of thing would be great. Seems like a shame to collect a bunch of data, then have a fumble finger instant to take it all away.

Kevin,

Hi. Great idea. We have just added this to the upcoming 2.7 release and also posted the enhancement on Beta Springs.

Just a quick note as well. Previously deleting anything (such as a question, question event, or completion event) just sets the record to be 'InActive' in the database. This is useful in case you accidentally deleted a question or a completion event and need to get it back. In the 2.7 release this is even easier in the 2.7 release as you can now visit the 'Recycle Bin' and either restore previously deleted objects or you can purge the objects and this will then fully delete them from the database.

Being the beta testing kind of guy I am, I tried the purge the recycle bin option on my FIRSTWA form on datasprings. Either I didn't understand it, or it doesn't appear to function properly. I purged some results, then visted the recycle bin, and nothing was there.

Kevin,

Hi. Actually the only area that is currently immediately deleted/purged are the results (at least right now). The recycle bin is currently limited to Dynamic Questions, Dynamic Completion Events, and Question Events. We will be adding this feature soon to the results as well.

So, when you go in and actually delete a question (or completion event, question event) you will be able to go into the recycling bin and either a. restore that object (undelete) or b. purge the recycling bin (which will then fully delete that data from the database).

Part of this functionality has always been there, even since version 1.0 whenever you would 'Delete' a field it would never actually delete. A flag would be set to InActive and all areas of the module would no longer know that it was there, however if you needed to you could manually go back into the database and set the InActive flag back to 0 and it would be available again. So now that the recycling bin is in place its easy to undelete and finally purge those objects from the database.

But... Not yet for results
